Project Report On Start New Business

Exercising the elixir of life

systemic mitochondrial rejuvenation through aerobic exercise. An effective therapeutic approach to ameliorate mitochondrial dysfunction in aging and related comorbidities.

A work being published in PNAS shows that the endurance exercise is able to:
induce mitochondrial biogenesis
prevent the depletion of mitochondrial DNA and its mutations
increase mitochondrial oxidative capacity and function of the respiratory chain
restore mitochondrial morphology
reduce pathological levels of apoptosis

Together, these adaptations are able to confer complete protection phenotypic decrease multisystem disease and prevent the premature death of animals used in the study (mtDNA mutator mouse)

In particular, every tissue and every organ examined in mice in the exercise was better than the sedentary, including skin, hair, ovaries, testes, spleen , kidney and liver in addition to the muscles. Untrained in the brain was reduced and the enlarged heart, but they were of normal size in those he trained.
Researchers in commenting the results show that the anti-aging effect of exercise was "unprecedented" and protected throughout the body.
